The Magician’s Table presents a brand-new theatrical adventure for families: Hocus Focus: The Kid Who Missed The Trick. Running for three exclusive performances on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th April at The Magician’s Table, this fast-paced, interactive magic show promises an unforgettable experience for anyone aged 7+ and their families.
Created and performed by two of the UK’s top magicians and theatre-makers, Pete Heat and Alex Hathway, Hocus Focus follows a young boy named Hocus on an extraordinary quest to reclaim his lost attention, snatched away by a devious conjuror and trapped inside a black glass box. Along the way, he meets a cast of curious characters, including an invisible wizard, a mischievous talking frog, and a giant rabbit with an attitude problem, all while navigating a world filled with jaw-dropping illusions, madcap comedy, and interactive surprises.
From Brighton, Pete is a professional magician, comedian and writer, known for mixing magic with surreal comedy. He also stars in a number of TV series, including Around The World in 80 Tricks (Prime), Secrets of the Brain (Insight), School of Hard Tricks (BBC3) and Now You See It (BBC1). Also from Brighton, Alex is a scriptwriter and performer who specialises in mixing compelling theatre with elements of magic and mentalism. After completing a Theatre degree at RHUL.
Alex trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. Her credits include Ginny in ‘Relatively Speaking’ with Theatre Royal Bath, Helena in ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ at the Orange Tree Theatre, and Jonelle in ‘The Death of Margaret Thatcher’ at the Courtyard Theatre. Alex also wrote and performed the acclaimed play ‘The Indescribable Phenomenon’ for Haberdashery Productions, a play about the first woman to be accepted into the Magic Circle.

Hosted at The Magicians Table, 49 Tanner Street, London Bridge, Hocus Focus is designed to spark imagination and remind audiences of all ages to look up, tune in, and rediscover the magic around them. All tickets are £30.00 + 5% booking fee, with a Family of four ticket available for £110.00 + 5% booking fee. The show runs for 60 minutes, with a selection of refreshments available to purchase on the day. The Magicians Table can be accessed by public transport with the nearest stations being London Bridge and Tower Bridge.
