Varvara Tarasova will perform waltzes from the famous ballets of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, one of the world’s greatest composers. These masterpieces will transport you to the stage of a grand theatre, where you can imagine the prima ballerina performing her part. Frédéric Chopin, a shining figure of the Romantic era, will captivate you with the contrasts and harmony in his works. His music is distinguished by fiery inspiration, heightened emotional intensity, elegant logic, and aristocratic sophistication.
Varvara Tarasova, winner of over 15 International Piano Competitions, released her debut CD of Brahms and Schumann with Champs Hill Records in 2017, earning critical acclaim and awards like the Soirée D’Or and Hopkinson Gold Medal. She is an honours graduate of the Royal College of Music (full scholarship recipient) and Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, she holds two Master of Performance degrees and an Artist Diploma. Currently, she is pursuing vocal studies at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.
