With their 2024 debut album, ‘Serenades & Damnation’, DEAD CHIC delivered a record that was dense, visceral, and instantly distinctive. From the very first notes, the atmosphere was unmistakable: cinematic crescendos, vast open landscapes, sultry tension, grit, and refined elegance. Unmistakably dark and chic. Now comes the deluxe edition – it now extends this immersive and intense journey, offering a compelling second chapter to the album.

This expanded edition also features three reimagined versions drawn from a stripped-back, almost acoustic live session — ‘Pain Love Joy’, ‘Hedonista’, and ‘Paris’. Performed in an intimate setting with subdued lighting and a live audience, the band revisits its repertoire through a more minimalist and introspective lens. The session captures the immediacy of live performance, the delicate balance between restraint and abandon, and the unmistakable adrenaline of performing without a safety net.

It brings to light previously unreleased tracks recorded during the original sessions at Black Box Studio; ‘Fire’, ‘The Bells and the Fists’, and ‘It Takes a Long Road’. Some of these songs were honed on stage over time, others emerged more recently, but together they reveal a sometimes rawer, denser edge of the band’s sound, always infused with the cinematic scope that defines DEAD CHIC’s signature identity.

With ‘Serenades & Damnation – Deluxe Edition’, DEAD CHIC does more than add new material.
