Just around the corner from Oxford Playhouse, the Burton Taylor Studio will host a vibrant programme of bold new work, spanning fierce drama, thrilling comedy and charming family shows in its intimate black box venue, this autumn. Beginning this week, audiences are whisked back to the Cold War era and relationships which are anything but cold!

 Alex Macfarlane and Charlie Turner bring Cold War drama to the studio with A Covert Affair. Monitored by two older agents, a pair of operatives are tasked with a mission of seduction and espionage to swap state secrets. But when they fall for each other and inadvertently exchange sensitive intel, their organisations draw them into a dangerous pursuit.
