For all fans of Winchester’s outdoor festival of fun, which takes place around the city, the first week of July, I have good news! Hat Fair Cabaret is back – at Theatre Royal Winchester on Saturday 1st March. This is a chance for fans of Winchester’s Outdoor Arts festival, a feast of award-winning comedy, circus stunts, magic tricks, international cabaret and more, indoors! Both being organised by those marvellous people at Play to the Crowd.

Hat Fair Cabaret returns after taking to the stage for two years running – with a brand-new show, new acts, and surprises for young and old to enjoy. Madness and mayhem are guaranteed in this one night of wonder, packed with all the excitement of the summer festival!

Play to the Crowd, formerly Live Theatre Winchester Trust, is a registered arts and education charity based in
the heart of the historic city of Winchester, Hampshire incorporating Hat Fair, Theatre Royal Winchester and
Playmakers. Engagement, participation and creative learning are at the heart of the Playmakers offering
positive opportunities for all ages and backgrounds while enabling those most at need in the community to get
involved in all aspects of theatre and performance. The organisation offers a vibrant Playmakers Youth Theatre
with up to 150 young people each week, from around the Winchester district, participating in workshops and
youth theatre.

Hat Fair: the longest continually running festival of Outdoor Arts. It takes place annually on the first weekend in
July in Winchester, attracting audiences of over 90,000, and features international street performers, dance,
