Following a win at Tampa International Fringe this year, award-winning writer-performer Gabrielle Leonore is debuting her new comedy show My Life as an ‘Inspirational P*rn’ Star, to Edinburgh Fringe! Leonore is not a prn star. ‘Inspirational prn’ relates to the feel-good stories of well-meaning individuals who help the autistic overcome their mental difficulties.

Featuring candid anecdotes about sex, drugs, and a surprising history lesson involving N*zis and Elon Musk, this
boundary-breaking tour de force comes from an autistic woman who takes on society’s rigid expectations – and looks good doing it. Gabrielle says ‘this show has everything, it’s more than just your regular one-woman show – it’s a hot-girl TED talk that blends stand-up, burlesque, and a deep character study. If I can make someone feel seen through this piece, then I’ve fulfilled my role as an artist by becoming the person I wish I had growing up.’

She recently won the Tampa International Fringe award for Social Good for the second time. Gabrielle first gained recognition for her production, (Re)union, a dark comedy about a high school reunion in the aftermath of a school shooting. Now, her latest show promises audiences a roller coaster of cheeky humour, unfiltered storytelling, and bold discussions of the stigmas surrounding disability and sexuality.
