Comedian and Twitch streamer Bilal Zafar (Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer Nominee, as seen on Catastrophe, Such Brave Girls, Sick of It, Last Christmas) brings their latest Edinburgh Fringe show, Rubicon, to Underbelly Bristo Square (Jersey) until August 30th. Part stand-up, part-gameshow, Rubicon draws its inspiration from the popular drink – but, more than simply a refreshing tipple (other fruit-based beverages are available), Rubicon helps Bilal satisfy a thirst for understanding some delicate issues of class and race. All that and games and prizes (not fruit drinks) to be won too. Showcasing his skills with audio and video, Bilal creates a surreal and immersive atmosphere that blurs the line between live performance and digital entertainment. A tonic for the ears and the eyes.
