Indian Classical Music comes to the Liverpool Philharmonic Music Room

This concert offers an immersive journey through Indian classical music, where melody and rhythm unfold with elegance, intensity and spontaneity. As J. A. Jayant, one of the leading Carnatic flautists of his generation, is joined by two outstanding percussionists: R N Prakash, a highly respected mridangam artist known for his precision, flair and sensitive accompaniment, and Kousic Sen, an acclaimed tabla player recognised for his dynamic solo and collaborative work.

Jayant is celebrated for his rich tone, lyrical expression and imaginative improvisation. Together, they create a vibrant and nuanced musical dialogue, showcasing the depth, virtuosity and expressive power of Indian classical music.
