From the award-winning theatre company Improbable, directed by Lee Simpson, comes a performance that offers an experimental evening that is part gig and part TED Talk-inspired. Sharing the spotlight are leading thinkers in Artificial Intelligence, discussing the themes of AI and consciousness, and what this might mean for us humans. The experts will speak, the music will respond. Perhaps this is the kind of debate we should be having?

There is a splendid juxtaposition, this show about moderd technology heralds the reopening of the main Oxford Playhouse Theatre on 23rd September, after a five week hiatus for essential repairs and maintenance. The maintenance project involved replacing the theatre’s pit lift, a mechanism that raises and lowers the front of the stage, which has been in use for nearly sixty years. This lift is essential for extending the stage, providing additional seating, or creating space for an orchestra. A new lift will allow The Playhouse to continue producing and presenting the varied programme for which it is so well known, including drama, dance, opera, pantomime, and live orchestras.

They were awarded Producer of the Year at The Stage Awards in 2023.
