Catch all the excitement of the Edinburgh Fringe
Pop down to Komedia in Brighton from Sun 14 Jun – Thu 30 Jul to catch Edinburgh Fringe work in progress shows from 39 comedians, ahead of the Edinburgh Fringe in August. From well-known faces to up-and-coming stars and shows ranging from madcap gameshow adventures to defiantly funny explorations of multiculturalism, there’ll be something for everyone in Komedia’s cosy (yet cool) Studio this summer.
As all the shows are still in the process of being created, this is a rare opportunity for audiences to watch events evolve in real time and help shape what they will become before heading to Edinburgh Fringe, the biggest and most exciting comedy and arts festival in the world. This is your chance to see future comedy stars in an intimate setting. Previous acts who have appeared at Komedia’s Edinburgh Preview Season include; Joe Lycett, Joel Dommett, Maisie Adam, Ed Gamble, Iain Stirling, Joanne McNally, Simon Brodkin, Rose Matafeo, Matt Forde, Sarah Keyworth and many others.
Thea season launches on the 14th June with Rob Copland & Roger O’Sullivan, on the 14th June followed by Acclaimed comedian and hit podcaster Horatio Gould with a brand-new hour of brilliantly skewed standup (15 Jun). Expect sharp observations, deadpan swagger and a quietly chaotic worldview from ‘… the funniest, freshest act out there’ (Frankie Boyle). A breakout favourite on podcasts, TikTok, television and stages across the UK. With Bebe Cave (15 Jun) with a one-woman character comedy exploring the pre-Raphaelite brotherhood and their muses and why we love dead, drowned women more than alive dry ones. “Dementedly funny and fast-paced” (The Scotsman on ‘Christbride’)
Other evening pairings include Glamazon Prime (pictured above) & Katie Pritchard, 25 Jun, 8pm (doors 7:30pm), Plus some guests from Europe. Dutch comedian Micky Overman (28 Jul) who has over 50 million views on social media and burst onto the UK comedy scene in 2016 as a finalist in both Funny Women and Leicester Square New Comedian competitions. Her latest tour for her critically acclaimed show ‘Hold On’ had sell-out shows across the UK and Europe. Channel 4 Sean Lock Award Finalist Thor Stenhaug (28 Jul) a Norwegian comedian who had a sold-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe 2025 and has offered tour support for Fern Brady, Josh Widdecombe, Larry Dean and Jack Dee. He was also shortlisted for British Comedian of the Year – despite not being British!
