As part of Woolwich Works’ uplifting summer programme of community events and to celebrate Refugee Week 2026. “There and Here: A Celebration” brings together artist and refugee-led performances, arts and crafts, dance, singing, live music and a communal meal on Saturday 20th June. Thanks to Luca Silvestrini’s Protein and the Royal Borough of Greenwich.

The event’s line-up includes Bantu inspired fashion design from LeenaD; dance performances from participants at Creating Ground and Islington Centre for Refugees and Migrants, plus a work in progress from Nua Dance; live music from fusion band DelBand and kora player Malick Kouyate; arts making with Ramin Imantalab; singing from Citizens of the World Choir, the UK leading Refugees and Allies Choir.

Nick Williams, Director of Woolwich Works, commented: “Summer at Woolwich Works gives people the chance to gather for fun. Whether it’s for music, dance, circus, family performances or simply sharing a table at quiz or games night, the venue is full of life. Open for all ages, we are offering the opportunity to discover something new and have a great time.”
