Created for anyone who has ever tried to make something with someone else – a decision, a work of art, a life – Collaborator is an irreverent, highly physical and heartfelt dive into navigating a relationship and the negotiation involved in making stuff. Featuring Charlotte Mooney & Alex Harvey, a suspended frame and a stage, this is a show about creation and compromise.
Collaborator is a duet between the two Artistic Directors Alex and Charlotte. It marks a significant moment for Ockham’s Razor – after decades of creating large-scale ensemble work and touring internationally, this show brings the focus back to the essential creative relationship between these two artists. Charlotte and Alex’s first show was a duet Memento Mori, which they created when they first met in 2004 whilst studying at Circomedia, Bristol. It premiered at the Théâtre de la Cité Internationale, Paris, winning the Jeunes Talents Cirque award.
Collaborator, may be their final performance together. It is a distilled statement of their shared history, artistic trust and the many decisions, compromises and collaborations that have shaped their practice together.
