Enter a post-apocalyptic world with Endgame

Audiences are invited to immerse themselves in a post-apocalyptic landscape when Samuel Beckett’s Endgame comes to Theatre Royal Winchester on Tuesday 28 July. This fearless interpretation, described as devastating, hilarious and strangely tender, captures the dark comedy and humanity of one of theatre’s greatest modern classics.

Endgame tells the story of four survivors clinging onto routine, memory and each other as time runs out in this gripping staging of the playwright’s bleak poetic masterpiece. Savage wit and stark poetry collide in a production described as bold with haunting physicality. This raw and visually striking adaptation is performed by Flabbergast Theatre, who create theatre productions with the help of a host of performers – experts in acting, dance, clowning, circus arts and puppetry.

Flabbergast are well-known for their physical theatre and physical comedy and past productions have included five-star rated renditions of Macbeth, A Midsummer’s Night Dream, and Romeo & Juliet.
