Stuart Laws “Three Ways” New YouTube special out tomorrow 13/9

‘Laws is one of the most skilled and likeable comics on the circuit … a deliciously joke-dense show.’ ★★★★ The Scotsman

One special, three locations – enter the multiverse of stand-up, with chaotic, viral comedian Stuart Laws (Patience on Channel 4; Play Time on ITV; Radio 4; tour support for Ed Gamble, James Acaster, Lou Sanders, Harriet Kemsley).

Every comedian knows that the same joke, delivered the same way, doesn’t guarantee the same response. With his latest special Three-Way, Stuart Laws is letting the audience in on the joke(s) … as they perform differently between rooms. The special cuts between 3 different locations: Machynlleth, Manchester and Bristol. Viewers buzz between the ‘best bits’ (and a couple of ‘worst bits’) from each show, making one, half-hour, pretty damn funny special.

Stuart says: “This special is shorter and funnier – I wanted it to be half hour of jokes and the energy of a live show, rather than a narrative and structure. Crowdwork, visual gags, editing gags and the excitement of seeing a good joke go down well in one room and then not really get laughs in another. I love live comedy and putting it out like this is a chance to showcase a comedian (me) being funny (objective).“

Having directed the latest specials from James Acaster, Nish Kumar, Rosie Jones, and countless others, Laws has an unmatched expertise for communicating the power of live comedy through a camera. In Three-Way, Laws turns his visionary, meta view of comedy on himself – and his whimsy and lawlessness (pun intended) bring you in a gag-packed special that no one else on the planet could make.

This special explores Laws’ impulsive, unpredictable live style and presents it with the filmmaking prowess he has displayed in directing the comedy specials of some of the best comedians in the world. Stuart Laws: Three-Way also features big pigs, out of place horses, a comparison between British and American toilets and the most self-aggrandising routine a comedian has done in a while.

Available 5pm (UK), 13th September 2026 on youtube.com/@stuartlawscomedy
